Sana Packaging is a Denver-based cannabis packaging company that designs and supplies child-resistant packaging for cannabis operators using plant-based hemp plastic, reclaimed ocean-bound plastic, recycled glass, and post-consumer recycled materials.

Sana Packaging Inc. is a privately held cannabis packaging company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The company was founded in 2016 by Ron Basak-Smith and James Eichner, who met while completing MBA programs at the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business.

The company designs and supplies wholesale cannabis packaging for operators in the United States. Its product line is organized around plant-based hemp plastic, reclaimed ocean-bound plastic, recycled glass, and post-consumer recycled plastic. Hemp plastic products include child-resistant containers, pre-roll tubes, and vape cartridge packaging. Ocean-bound plastic products include jars, screw-top lids, pre-roll tubes, and pre-roll multipacks.

Sana Packaging also offers recycled glass jars in partnership with Tree Hugger Containers. According to the company, those jars contain 50–70 percent recycled glass. Additional offerings include post-consumer recycled plastic stand-up pouches, custom printing, labeling, tamper-evident options, compostable film baggies, hemp paperboard outer packaging, and organic hemp paper pre-roll cones.

The company sources reclaimed ocean-bound plastic through Oceanworks, a marketplace for reclaimed ocean materials. According to the company, customer orders have used more than 750,000 pounds of reclaimed ocean-bound plastic and more than 260,000 pounds of plant-based hemp plastic.

Sana serves cannabis operators at multiple scales, including small farms, startups, dispensaries, product brands, and multistate operators. The company requires low minimum-order quantities, maintains on-hand inventory, offers transparent pricing, and provides customization services and domestic production.
