Canndescent Launches Baker’s Cannabis Co.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Today, Canndescent™️ launched its third brand, Baker’s Cannabis Co. Created to deliver low cost, high quality products that appreciate a consumer’s cannabis routine, the company accelerated the brand launch by 90-days, recognizing that consumers need economic relief in this time of crisis. Scrapping the marketing campaign originally slated for Q320, Baker’s will instead redirect a portion of its marketing budget to purchase hand sanitizer for all of its participating stores. 

Canndescent conceived Baker’s Cannabis Co. as the super affordable and supportive friend of consumers and dispensaries alike. Consistent with friendship, Baker’s expedited its launch to provide dispensaries a critical new asset to help retain consumers who might otherwise have switched to the black market in a time of economic hardship.

“Forgoing the marketing campaign and immediately serving consumers with highly affordable, legal cannabis is our top priority,” said Sam Arellano, Chief Marketing Officer of Canndescent. “Friends show up when times are tough — with incomes dropping, jobs disappearing, cannabis taxes rising and COVID-19 spreading throughout our communities, Baker’s encourages consumers to remain in the legal market, holding the line against the black market for dispensaries.”

For its initial launch, Baker’s will feature a 1-gram pre-roll competitively priced at a $6 MSRP and a ½ oz pre-ground pouch, complete with 40 rolling papers and crutches, targeting $55 at retail. Baker’s begins shipping to dispensaries across the state of California on April 10, 2020.
