TRENTON, New Jersey – Gov. Phil Murphy signed the ‘Jake Honig Compassionate Use Medical Cannabis Act’ into law today. Named in memory of the 7-year old Howell boy who passed away of brain cancer last year. NJ’s medical marijuana program will now increase the number of illnesses eligible for cannabis use, boosts the amount that can be dispensed and raises the number of permits available in the state.
“Today’s legislation creates a medical marijuana program that is modernized, compassionate, progressive, and meets the needs of patients,” Murphy said.
