Korova offers medicated cookies for patients in need of potency and reliable dosage.
Consistency is one of the biggest challenges for the edibles sector of the cannabis industry. For the novice, doses that are too strong or not strong enough can result in an intense and anxiety-ridden experience. Inconsistency can harm long-time patient’s quality of life. Korova Edibles’s goal is to provide a consistent experience every time. “Our main mission has always been to offer truly potent products to people who rely on consistent dosage,” said Blake Powers of Korova Edibles.
“Korova” means cow in Russian and is used as a slang term for cannabis in Croatia. Powers also took inspiration for the company’s name from the novel A Clockwork Orange: Alex and his fellow troublemakers visit the Korova Milk Bar and consume a drink called a Moloko Plus. Real-life variations of the drink often contain barbiturates. “For us, it is an homage to one of our favorite films and also a nod to using foods to deliver medication,” said Powers.
The consistency pays off for patients who have developed high tolerances. For a novice, some of Korova’s products may be a bit potent. However, for long-time medicators in need of relief, Korova may offer, as the packages state, “unrivaled potency.” According to Powers, “Our 500mg and 1,000mg THC cookie and brownie bars are our most popular products by far.”
The cannabis industry has taken notice of Korova: More than 600 dispensaries stock the company’s products. Korova products have won multiple awards, including a High Times Cannabis Cup for best edible.
Consumers demand safe products with accurate labels. Korova is cooking up a supply to meet that demand.
