GRANTS PASS, Ore.–Cannabis grower and nephew of soon-to-be-royal-duchess Meghan Markle told UK newspaper The Daily Mail that he is currently breeding a commemorative strain of cannabis in honor of his aunt’s upcoming nuptials, and naming it “Markle’s Sparkle”–bringing a whole new level of meaning to the formal address, “Your Highness.”

The Daily Mail said Dooley described the strain as a hybrid and “potent.”

With interest in the royal wedding, scheduled for May 19, reaching a peak, royal relative Tyler Dooley gave an extensive interview to The Daily Mail, and promoted his Oregon-based business, the Southern Oregon Cannabis Connection.

“I know in England that marijuana is still a taboo subject but it’s more normal to us here because we grew up around it in high school. Everybody experiments with it here,” Dooley said to the newspaper.

“Prince Harry enjoys a good party. I’d be happy to show them around if they ever come out here and educate them on the medicinal benefits of marijuana which helps everything from post-traumatic stress syndrome to insomnia to pain in cancer patients,” he added.

The Daily Mail sent reporters to Oregon and visited Dooley’s grow facility, taking numerous photos. Dooley operates the three-acre grow and additional warehouse with business partner Fred Tamayo and their staff of 25 employees.

It should come as no surprise that Markle, a native Californian, would have deep roots in the West Coast; Dooley is the son of her half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr. His mother, Tracy Dooley (former wife of Thomas Jr.), is a radio advertising professional and has several cannabis clients.

“A properly regulated industry is the way to go,” she said in The Daily Mail interview. “I hope people in England can see what we are doing here. We haven’t all turned into pot-tokeing (sic) zombies. Instead we’re creating a strictly regulated industry which has the potential to inject billions of dollars into the economy.”

While there has been some speculation as to which members of Markle’s family will attend the wedding, Tracy confirmed to media that Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., is expected to participate in the wedding.

Dooley, his brother TJ, and mother Tracy will provide commentary on the day of the royal wedding, for UK morning show Good Morning Britain.
