Oxnard’s first cannabis dispensary, The Artist Tree, is officially open for business. On Friday, February 10, the dispensary celebrated with a grand opening to the public. The Mayor of Oxnard, John C. Zaragoza, visited for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and to present a certificate of commendation. Guests were treated to free snacks from local vendor House of Tacos and could participate in a number of activities, including a build-your-own bouquet section. Humo, Connected Cannabis, Traditional, 710 Labs, and CANN were also all present giving away free, non-medicated delights for the grand opening. With The Artist Tree envisioning themselves as an art gallery that sells cannabis, local artists Tony Smith, Havilah Abrego, and Jonathan Luna created works of art at the event, while DJ Duck the Bass kept the vibes rolling with music.
