WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Bud & Mary’s celebrated the conclusion of its partnership campaign with Can Play, an Iowa and Missouri nonprofit dedicated to inclusive and adaptive programming, with a catered community event and ceremonial check presentation on Monday, July 28, at the Racoon River Nature Lodge in West Des Moines, Iowa. The $10,000 donation marks the final phase of Bud & Mary’s support for Can Play’s mission to expand play opportunities for youth of all abilities and backgrounds. Attendees enjoyed breakfast items purchased from locally owned bakery, Cha Cha’s Hiland Bakery, run by an Iowa medical cannabis patient Ed Kirkman, bringing the company’s values of local investment and patient support full circle.

About Can Play

Can Play is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Des Moines, Iowa, committed to removing barriers to play by providing adapted and no-cost sports and recreation programs.
