NEW YORK — LeafLink and Confia formed a strategic partnership through which LeafLink acquired customers from Confia’s cannabis banking platform. Confia customers have transitioned onto the Dama Financial by LeafLink platform and gained access to its financial services suite. Dama Financial provides businesses with access to banking services and a digital platform.
The partnership builds on LeafLink’s July 2024 acquisition of Dama Financial, the banking division of Dama Technology Inc. This significantly expanded LeafLink’s product offerings to include cannabis banking capabilities. Since the acquisition, LeafLink offers a suite of banking, credit, and payments tools.
A 2025 survey conducted by LeafLink found 10% of cannabis operators have contended with banking shutdowns. While 63% of operators reported banking with a local bank or credit union, 11% said they operate without a bank at all. Of those with a bank, 40% said they contend with high monthly fees or high transaction fees.
