As California readies itself for recreational cannabis sales, quality information and education is more important than ever as we approach this exciting but uncertain future.
With all of the events that have sprung up in the cannabis industry, it can be difficult to figure out which ones are worth attending. While mg tries to get to as many as possible, we still have to be a bit picky.
Fortunately, one event, the California Cannabis Business Conference (CCBC), makes our decision easier. Founded by the combined efforts of the California Cannabis Industry Association (CCIA) and the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA), CCBC has a strong foundation.
The CCBC’s main theme is “Navigating the Largest Adult-Use Market.” The goal is to bring together leaders of the cannabis industry from all over California. CCBC focuses on six main educational tracks:
The lineup of guest speakers features approximately 70 leaders from within the cannabis industry with Lori Ajax, Chief of the
Bureau of Cannabis Control in California, set to deliver the keynote address. In total, over 2000 cannabis leaders are expected to be in attendance at Anaheim’s Marriot for the CCBC.
The conference comes at the perfect time. California is gearing up for recreational marijuana sales in January of 2018. As what will become the largest adult-use market, recreational cannabis sales will be a massive undertaking for authorities, lawmakers, cannabis producers, dispensaries, and anyone else involved in the California cannabis industry.
The need for quality education and information is necessary now more than ever. For those who are in Southern California, or for those who can make the trip down, the CCBC is a can’t miss event. Anyone new to the industry can take invaluable information from the conference, but even veterans of the industry may appreciate the guidance they can find as California cannabis enters a brave new world.
