AUSTIN, Texas –

Grow House Media is proud to present the Outlaw Party benefiting the Last Prisoner Project on the opening night of South By Southwest 2023. The event takes place from 5-9 pm CT on Friday, March 10th and seeks to raise awareness and funds to support prison reform and cannabis reform in Texas.

The Outlaw Party will be the destination event during SXSW for the community to interact, connect & reconnect with thought-leaders, activists, canna-business leaders, investors, brands, influencers and consumers alike. Honoring the distinct and unique cultures of East & West Side Austin, The 2023 Outlaw Party will pay homage to the differences that make Austin one-of-a-kind. The big Texas sky will generously host this one-of-a-kind epic event in celebration of SXSW on opening night and most importantly, the party will honor the work of The Last Prisoner Project and feature talks from former constituents who served a combined 23 years in prison for marijuana convictions Ferrell Scott and Stephanie Shepard.

“We are committed to helping the people who were harmed by our country’s unjust drug policies by supporting organizations like the Last Prisoner Project,” said Lisa Pyatt, Chief Marketing Officer of Media Sponsor Eighty Six Premium Hemp. “We believe that everyone deserves access to their full human potential, including those who have been punished for nonviolent offenses related to cannabis use.”

In addition to advocating for cannabis reform, the Outlaw Party will be a top-tier event for cannabis and hemp industry members to connect and network. Guests of the event can expect the following as part of their event experience:

A special talk by M1 of Dead Prez

Talks by former LPP constituents & LPP leadership

Gourmet munchies & beverages throughout the evening

Two distinct House DJs

Breathtaking 360-degree views of Austin

Multiple bars and open-air patios for consumption

Vapor Bar

Joint/Blunt Rolling Station

A curated Retail Pop-up

Live Art

“Last year’s Outlaw Party hosted over 400 guests and we anticipate to sell out again this year,” said Liz Grow, Founder of Grow House Media. “The event is always a blast–but at the end of the day it is more than simply having a good time, it is about seeing many different individuals joining forces in solidarity to make their voices heard. Attendees will get an appreciation of the strength of the cannabis movement in the state of Texas and be inspired by how those passionate about it are working for change. The true value of the celebration is much greater than its entertainment value; it is a chance to make meaningful connections and fight for cannabis reform together.”

This event is by invitation only and space is limited. The secret downtown location in the sky will be shared with registered guests on the day of the party. To request press credentials or an invitation, please contact Bree DeVita at 303-513-1244 or [email protected].
