Cannabis Week in Las Vegas, occurring every year during MJBizCon, has become the mecca of industry-specific gatherings. While plenty of conversation and pitches occur on the tradeshow floor, arguably just as many deals get done at the extracurricular functions that go late into the wee hours of the morning. While the biggest events and afterparties traditionally take place on Wednesday and Thursday, more worthwhile niche gatherings are popping up on Tuesday and Friday nights.
Among the plethora of party options, this year saw the first-annual Tech Jam event. A group of tech-centric companies came together to host a special evening for friends and clients alike. Starting earlier than most at 5 p.m., the quant gathering saw approximately 300 movers and shakers from the community come together for food, drinks, and conversation. Grove Bags, Sorting Robotics, Willow Industries, and Green Lane Communication joined forces to make this event possible. The gathering took place in the hip Arts District of Las Vegas at the Jammyland Cocktail Bar & Reggae Kitchen. Between the top-shelf open bar, Jamaican dishes, and large outdoor patio, it was an ideal setting to set the tone for another week of the community coming together.
