The Artist Tree celebrated the launch of its ninth retail venue and second consumption lounge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 20 in Hawthorne, California. Hawthorne City Council members Angie English, Alex Monteiro, L. David Patterson, and other members of the city government were in attendance. The shop will host a grand opening party to greet the community and celebrate creativity in cannabis on Saturday, Aug. 31.
The expansive 5,000-square-foot space features a free-standing art display showcasing the work of local artists, a seamless open floor plan, industrial detailing, custom cabinetry, hardwood floors, and museum-style inlaid glass displays throughout the interior. The first installation will showcase the works of local artists Tyler Barnett, Ron Braverman, Christopher Wray McCann, and Mr. James. The exterior of the building stands out with an original mural by local artist, Dylan Keene, who designed this piece to reflect the creative power of cannabis.
The Hawthorne location also includes a comfy consumption lounge area where visitors can relax and consume any of The Artist Tree’s hundreds of cannabis products alongside an assortment of high-end smoking devices and locally inspired cannabis-infused cocktails.
“We’re excited to bring cannabis and art to the city of Hawthorne and to create a new cultural destination for tourists and locals,” says founder Lauren Fontein. “Whether you’re a longtime resident of Hawthorne, Inglewood, or the nearby South Bay cities, or just getting off a longhaul flight, we want to be the community’s one-stop shop for a retail and canna-consumption experience unique to California.”
The Artist Tree retail and consumption lounge space will be open daily from 7 AM – 9:50 PM at 4756 W. Imperial Highway, Hawthorne, CA 90304.
