Founder and CEO of Advanced Nutrients, Michael “BigMike” Straumietis, was awarded the Legacy Hall of Fame Award in the Cannabis Now “40 Under 40” issue, which highlights notable entrepreneurs who are making a major impact in the cannabis industry. As a Legacy
Hall of Fame Award winner, BigMike is recognized for his pioneering cannabis work and notably paving the way for younger generations despite the challenges and perceptions he faced in the early expansion of the cannabis industry.
BigMike, alongside other award winners like Willie Nelson and Tommy Chong, received their recognition at the Cannabis Now private dinner held at the 2022 MJBizCon in Las Vegas. While at MJBizCon, the #1 global cannabis business conference and tradeshow, Advanced Nutrients made a splash with a custom 70-foot-long semi-truck display of cannabis and a variety of Advanced Nutrients products for viewing and exploring.
In addition, the team presented three price per gallon deals on Advanced Nutrients fertilizers, a groundbreaking deal and announcement to help growers during these uncertain economic times. And, one of Advanced Nutrient’s growers won the Highest THC award at the Grow Off

At the AWB Awards, which took place Thursday, Nov. 17, Advanced Nutrients then took home the first-place award for Manufacturing Excellence Award for Operational Excellence, recognizing a manufacturer that has a distinctive manufacturing process, including continuous improvement, Lean and Six Sigma and/or application of high technology. Additionally, the company was also honored as a finalist in Leading
Environmental Practices Award, which recognizes a business that has put a priority on environmental improvement, education or outreach to its business sector and/or community.
To wrap up 2022 in the spirit of giving, Advanced Nutrients, in partnership with Humanity Heroes, will be hosting their 8th annual Skid Row Backpack Giving Event on Dec. 17.
