For two seasons, Discovery’s audiences have been on a wild ride with Jim Belushi as he combines his many artistic talents with an immense passion to build a cannabis business in Oregon. Jim and his ragtag team of farmers are taking his dream and his artisanal Belushi’s Farm and turning it into a national cannabis brand while setting their sights on a bigger goal, global expansion. But, as Discovery audiences have learned, Jim is his own worst enemy. Will he learn from his mistakes and take his cannabis business across the USA and overseas, or will it go up in a cloud of smoke? An all-new season of GROWING BELUSHI returns to Discovery Wed., April 5 at 9PM ET/PT.
In the season premiere, Jim must pick up the pieces after his farm is the victim of a suspicious fire, sending $500,000 worth of cannabis and his precious barn and drying facility up in smoke. Was it an inside job, According to Jim haters, neighborhood crime, or worse? While the authorities work to identify a suspect, Jim and his team must race to find a place to dry and cure their next harvest of cannabis, greenhouses and outdoor fields filled with plants that must be processed in 10 days. With another $500,000 of cannabis on the line, the future of Belushi’s Farm is at risk.
Upcoming stories on GROWING BELUSHI this season include Jim ignoring his own plans for a slow and steady expansion across the USA to move as quickly as possible so he can sell his legendary strains of “Captain Jack,” “Cherry Pie,” and his unique “Blues Brothers Working Man’s Brand” as he is truly on “his mission from God” to heal those in need; exploring opportunities and taking road trips with his cousin Chris and business partner actor and comedian Dan Aykroyd; and taking to the backcountry of the central coast of California to chase a mystical rumor of the legendary and elusive “Big Sur Holy Weed,” a cannabis seed that launched the hippie cannabis revolution in California in the 1960’s.
Celebrate 4/20, the day that marks an annual celebration of cannabis, with Jim and his team when Discovery will air a GROWING BELUSHI marathon featuring all episodes of the series to date beginning Thursday, April 20 at 7AM ET/PT.

Belushi’s Farm
What began as a meager 48 plants during Oregon’s medical marijuana program in 2015, today Belushi’s Farm encompasses a sprawling and spiritual 93 acres with 1,800 feet of Rogue River riverfront in Southern Oregon’s Banana Belt where the sun, water and air make the perfect combination to sustain naturally powerful and beautiful cannabis. Belushi’s Farm is home to a range of offerings including The Blues Brothers, Captain Jack’s Gulzar Afghanica (a rare strain from the Hindu Kush region that became known in the ’70s as “The Smell of SNL”), Good Ugly Weed, and GROWING BELUSHI on The Discovery Channel. Having suffered the loss of his brother John to an overdose, and his own journey learning and healing through cultivating cannabis, the farm’s proprietor, performer Jim Belushi, is a proponent of the plant’s beneficial properties across a spectrum of uses. From enhancing joy and quality of life, mitigating trauma and managing pain, to a harm reduction approach and rebuttal of the opioid abuse epidemic, Jim advocates for patient rights, adult-use legalization, and freeing cannabis prisoners as an ambassador for Last Prisoner Project, while empowering newcomers to access the profound spiritual and healing powers of quality cannabis.
