SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Last Year California made history by hosting the first of its kind educational cannabis exhibit with onsite cannabis sales and consumption at the California State Fair. The Cannabis Oasis was such a success that they are bringing it back, showing that cannabis is becoming more widely accepted. But they’re not just bringing it back, for 2025 the Cannabis Oasis is expanding to 50,000 square feet. That means a larger space for even more cannabis related fun.
The Cannabis Oasis, brought to you by Embarc and Fair Play Ventures, is fighting the stigma, normalizing cannabis usage and supporting California’s many growers as they seek to make cannabis fun and educational.
The goal of the Fair isn’t just to normalize cannabis usage, but to support and give a platform to the many cultivators who pour their heart and soul into creating the best cannabis products California has to offer. On July 12, the prestigious Golden Bear Awards will be awarded at the California Cannabis Awards to the best product across various categories. The awards are also expanding with the introduction of bronze medals across all categories.
Last year the Cannabis Oasis at the California State Fair featured:
- 55 cannabis exhibitors
- 40 speakers
- 4 live bands & 12 DJs
- 510 competition entries
- 102 medals awarded to the top flower, concentrates, and edibles
- And yes — 175+ SKUs available for onsite consumption.
And this year is set to be bigger and better.
The Cannabis Oasis will run the duration of the State Fair, from July 11-27, at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California. It will be open to all fairgoers that are 21+ with a valid ID.
