CHICAGO — Genuine Marketing Group Inc. (GMG) will test ZPTAG in the Cannabis vertical in partnership with Ignite Dispensary. Beta testing will begin June 20, engaging the full supply chain within Ignite Dispensary’s Wisconsin operations.
From seed origin to post-purchase verification, ZPTAG offers a patent-pending blockchain solution and smartphone application to assist with government compliance, supply chain visibility, and brand integrity.
ZPTAG builds on GMG’s successful carbon intensity (CI) pilot, providing CI scoring and monetization models for farmers and cooperatives for their environmental stewardship. With this new cannabis beta, the goal is to reward good actors in the regulated cannabis market through a secure, automated platform that authenticates each product and provides real-time access to testing, sourcing, and certification for all stakeholders, including consumers as part of their retail shopping experience.
During the beta, a curated group of Ignite Dispensary’s Wisconsin stores will sell 9 SKUs across pre-rolls, gummies, and snack mixes, each uniquely tagged for full life cycle tracking, including product transformations, lab results (COAs), packaging, and logistics milestones.
