Santa Rosa, California, July 26, 2018 – In response to a rapidly consolidating sector, manufacturing company Cutting Edge Solutions has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with global agricultural supplier Hydrofarm.
Following the widely publicized 2018 acquisition of wholesaler Sunlight Supply Inc. by Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and its wholly owned subsidiary Hawthorne Gardening Co., Cutting Edge Solutions entered into talks with Hydrofarm, the oldest wholesaler and leading manufacturer of hydroponics equipment and high-intensity grow lights in the US.
Carrying over 5,000 agricultural items, Petaluma-based Hydrofarm is a longtime supplier to resellers who serve the cannabis industry. “We are excited about partnering with Cutting Edge Solutions and are happy to feature them in our portfolio of premium, independent brands,” says Hydrofarm CEO Peter Wardenburg. “We’re proud to provide a trusted distribution platform for much-loved, farmer-first manufacturers.”
In addition to producing 15 original agricultural formulations, Santa Rosa–based Cutting Edge Solutions has built a state-of-the-art R&D laboratory. “In our lab, we’re developing innovative products for a variety of agricultural industries, like wine and food crops,” says Chris Buletti, CEO at Cutting Edge Solutions. “We also use our lab to help ensure quality among cannabis and industrial-hemp farmers by optimizing their crops effectively based on science, not speculation.”
“Our companies have a wealth of direct, personal experience with helping our customers cultivate the very best cannabis,” says Cutting Edge Solutions founder John “Uncle John” Piccirilli.
“Now we get to do more of what we love,” Piccirilli says with a wink.
