Thursday, November 30th, Farechild Events (farechild.com), an award-winning event producer, and MJBizCon (mjbizconference.com), the largest cannabis conference and expo in the cannabis industry, are proud to announce the launch of The EMJAYS – International Cannabis Awards – a first-of-its-kind award show recognizing businesses and individuals who are leaders and innovators in their specific business category. The event will take place at the iconic Palms Hotel & Casino Las Vegas – Pearl Concert Theater, considered one of the finest casino theaters in all of Las Vegas, with a seating capacity of up to 2263 guests, private VIP boxes, balcony seating, and a 63’ stage with state-of-the-art sound and visual effects. The awards show and afterparty will feel like a ‘Classic Vegas Show with a Psychedelic Twist,’ where guests will be treated to interactive character actors, sponsor activations, and visual effects – all part of the theme.

The cannabis industry is set to experience a historic moment as Dave Tran and James Zachodini of Farechild Events, known for their well attended high wattage gatherings, and MJBizCon, the largest global cannabis trade show and media entity in the industry, as both powerhouses collaborate to bring you The EMJAYS which aim to recognize businesses and individuals who are leaders and innovators in their specific business category, especially those who focus on the ancillary services and products that support the cannabis industry.

The team at Farechild Events has produced multiple award shows, including the extravagant DOPE Industry Awards in Washington, Oregon, and California between 2013-2018. The EMJAYS will be an elegant black-tie affair that encourages guests and nominees to dress to impress to celebrate the best of the best in the cannabis industry during this historic and special evening in Las Vegas. The fully produced show will consist of a red carpet entry, 20+ award categories with different celebrity presenters for each category, live music performances, and an afterparty.

Nominations for The EMJAYS will begin today,  Friday, May 12, 2023, open to the public to include their favorite businesses and people within the respective award categories. The final voting/judging round will begin on July 30 through October 15, 2023. The judging process will include a combination of public voting and an internal committee of industry professionals formed by the event producers.
