SALINAS, CA – Joe Bayern has been appointed as President of INDUS Holding Co, a vertically integrated cannabis company with world-class capabilities, including cultivation, extraction and manufacturing, brand sales, marketing, and distribution. Mr. Bayern will oversee the complete day-to-day operation of INDUS, reporting to and executing the shared vision laid out by founder and Chief Executive Officer Robert Weakley and the organization’s board of directors.
Mr. Bayern joins INDUS following a successful tenure as Chief Executive Officer of global beverage leader VOSS of Norway. In his eight years as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Bayern led a turnaround strategy that nearly quadrupled sales and positioned VOSS as a globally recognized brand. His leadership and strategic thinking will now elevate INDUS to a lifestyle leader in the regulated cannabis space.

Mr. Bayern has previously served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Author Solutions, the largest self-publishing company in the world. He also spent 15 years playing an integral role in several large-scale business transformations as a Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operations Officer, with achievements that include the successful turnaround of Snapple, the creation of the $6 billion Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, and the transformation of Cadbury into a singularly focused confectionary leader.
