DENVER – Customers of LivWell Enlightened Health dispensaries across Colorado collectively reached into both pockets and hearts by opting to donate the change from purchases during the third quarter of 2022. All told, the small donations from LivWell patrons provided $100,000 to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund to help victims of the Marshall Fire.
The most destructive fire in Colorado history, the Marshall Fire began as a grass fire on December 30, 2021. Spurred by extremely high winds, the fire eventually destroyed 1,084 homes and seven commercial structures, as well as damaged hundreds of additional structures across 6,026 acres in Boulder County, Colorado. Today, rebuilding efforts are underway as residents and businesses work to resume normal life.
“The generosity of LivWell customers never ceases to amaze us, and the results of this quarter’s ‘round up’ effort is certainly a milestone,” said Chris Mapson, VP of Marketing at LivWell Enlightened Health. “We hope that this gift can help those affected by the Marshall Fire expedite their courageous rebuilding efforts, and we could not be more proud to present it on behalf of LivWell’s incredible customers.”
LivWell’s ‘round up’ program asks customers to round up purchases to the nearest dollar and donate the resulting spare change to a different designated charity each quarter. The effort supporting Marshall Fire relief resulted in the largest quarterly donation in the program’s history. Donations resulting from purchases made during the fourth quarter will be distributed to the Food Bank of the Rockies and can be made by rounding up purchases at all LivWell Colorado locations through Dec. 31.
