Colorado Springs, Colo. – Team members from Native Roots Cannabis Co., Colorado’s leading independent dispensary chain, and Brothers Redevelopment, a nonprofit providing housing and housing services to senior and at-risk communities across the Front Range, will converge in Colorado Springs on Saturday, Sept. 25, to prime and paint the home exteriors of two Springs residents.
“Painting a house can easily cost more than $5,000, which is a huge expense for any homeowner,” said Jeff Martinez, President of Brothers Redevelopment. “The Paint-A-Thon program offers income-eligible homeowners a chance to save money they might spend on painting, and instead direct it toward other important costs, such as medication and groceries. At the same time, it helps people maintain their most important investment, their home.”
The Paint-A-Thon follows a recent multi-year partnership between Native Roots and Brothers Redevelopment that works to support affordable housing solutions for Coloradans.
“As Native Roots endeavors to further support our Colorado Springs community, we are thrilled to announce a multi-year partnership with Brothers Redevelopment that will help our local neighbors,” said Shannon Fender, Director of Public Affairs, Native Roots. “Our commitment to Brothers will incorporate fundraising, sponsorships, and hands-on volunteer events, providing needed resources to promote safe, affordable, and accessible housing resources to residents in Colorado Springs.”
Native Roots champions empowering its employees, patients, customers and communities to work together to create positive change. The thriving cannabis industry faces thrilling opportunities to help foster community strength and vitality, and cannabis leader Native Roots aims to set the standard for civic engagement and corporate responsibility.
