PALMETTO, Fla. – SUNMED Your CBD Store, the largest hemp retailer in America, recently ended more than two years of litigation between its parent company SunFlora, and The Natural Solutions,
LLC, a related company, Injoi, Inc., and their founders: Steve Pina, Michelle Pina and Fadi Saab. U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney dismissed the case following “a confidential payment from The Natural Solutions to SunFlora,” and the parties agreed to end the lawsuit. This latest win marks the fourth consecutive litigation suit the SunFlora team has achieved a favorable outcome, and received appropriate damages.

According to court documents, The Natural Solutions initially sought damages from SunFlora “in excess of $250,000,000.00,” resulting in a total about-face with SunFlora instead receiving appropriate damages. In addition, all affiliate stores in the State of California will be converted to franchises, thus expanding the SUNMED | Your CBD Store market.
“The evidence did not support this fairytale,” SunFlora counsel Adam R. Fox of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP said. “Instead, the evidence showed it was SunFlora that had been damaged, and we were very confident about winning at trial.”
SunFlora was founded in 2018 following the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, which amended the Controlled Substances Act to codify an exemption for hemp, a strain of the cannabis sativa plant species, effectively legalizing the sale of hemp and its derivatives including CBD. Unlike other compounds derived from cannabis, CBD is not psychotropic and remains widely popular due to various perceived health benefits.
