COLUMBUS, Ohio — Even as more states enact legislation creating legal medical and adult-use cannabis markets, approximately 40,000 U.S. citizens remain imprisoned for former offenses that generate jobs and revenue for the cannabis industry today. To help end this fundamental injustice, Terrasana Cannabis Co. is devoting its May Day of Giving event to support the Last Prisoner Project, which works for the release of every last prisoner sentenced on cannabis charges as a result of the unjust War on Drugs.
On Wednesday, May 18, all Terrasana Cannabis locations will partner with Cure Ohio to offer 30% off its cokoh line of products, including concentrates, vapes and edibles. Patients will also receive 20% off all chizle products. Throughout the day, 10% of all proceeds from purchases of these products–as well as a match from Terrasana Cannabis–will go directly to the Last Prisoner Project. The May Day of Giving event will occur at all four Terrasana locations, and representatives from cokoh and chizle will be available to answer questions in the Columbus location from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Terrasana’s monthly Day of Giving events have generated more than $27,000 in donations to deserving organizations in Ohio since October 2021. The ongoing monthly program focuses on raising money and awareness for a different cause important to the communities that Terrasana serves.
