NORTHGLENN, Colo. — The Green Solution (TGS) celebrated its 10-year anniversary yesterday with a customer appreciation event at the company’s first dispensary location in Northglenn, Colo. TGS honored the occasion with special appearances from Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, as well as Denver football legend, Ray Crockett.
Belushi and Aykroyd arrived in a Bluesmobile, a 1974 Dodge Monaco sedan, reminiscent of the one featured in the “The Blues Brothers” to commemorate the Colorado launch of Belushi’s Farm Blues Brothers® Pre-Rolls. TGS has partnered with Belushi and his Oregon-based cannabis company, Belushi’s Farm, to debut The Blues Brothers® pre-rolls in Colorado. The pre-rolls will debut at TGS locations across the state and will be available at all TGS locations in Colorado by the end of the year.
Belushi, Aykroyd and Crockett, along with TGS’ chief executive officer, Steve Lopez, presented a $1,000 donation to the Colorado Veterans Project,a nonprofit that raises awareness and funds for local veterans and veterans’ organizations to build a strong, supportive community for veterans.
Throughout the event, customers received complimentary gift bags with select merchandise from vendors, and many customers received a complimentary signed copy of Crockett’s new book, Bump and Run. TGS also hosted pop-ups from select vendors including Lucky Mints, Altus Mints, Stillwater, 1906, Joy Gum, IoVia, Dixie and more. Throughout the afternoon, customers received complimentary meals from local food truck favorite, Smokin’ Bones BBQ.
Throughout the day, attendees successfully practiced safe social distancing and were required to wear facial masks. From cultivation to customer, TGS has implemented procedures to minimize human contact with its products. TGS has also increased cleaning protocols at all locations, disinfecting surfaces and display cases between customers and providing hand sanitizing stations. All employees are provided with personal protective equipment and any employees reporting potential symptoms are staying home from work. All of the company’s flower and edible products are individually sealed, nitrogen packed, and date stamped for safety and freshness. All customers are required to wear face masks in stores and mandated orders by all counties are strictly followed.

About Belushi’s Farm
What began as a meager 43 plants during Oregon’s medical marijuana program in 2015, today Belushi’s Farm encompasses a sprawling and spiritual 93 acres along the Rogue River, playing home to a range of offerings—from Belushi’s Secret Stash, to The Blues Brothers, to Captain Jack’s Gulzar Afghanica, a rare strain from the Hindu Kush region that became known in the ’70s as “The Smell of SNL,” and now GROWING BELUSHI, an all-new series on The Discovery Channel. GROWING BELUSHI takes Discovery’s audiences inside Jim’s world and shows the incredible effort it takes to build a legal cannabis operation. Having suffered the loss of his brother John to an overdose, and his own journey learning and healing through cultivating cannabis, the farm’s proprietor, performer Jim Belushi, is a proponent of the plant’s beneficial properties across a spectrum of uses. From enhancing joy and quality of life, mitigating trauma and managing pain, to a harm reduction approach and rebuttal of the opioid abuse epidemic, Jim advocates for patient rights and adult-use legalization while empowering newcomers to access the profound spiritual and healing powers of quality cannabis.
