Fyllo, HERBL, NuSachi, Parallel, Acreage, Clever Leaves make executive changes; Agrify, BDSA, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Open Book Extracts make changes to board.

Data solutions provider Fyllo appointed long-time board member Katie Ford to the role of chief operating officer. Recognized by Ad Age as one of the “Women to Watch” and by Campaign US as a leading “Media Maven,” Ford brings to Fyllo more than twenty years of experience in media and technology. In her most recent role, she served as head of global brands at Twitter.

“Katie has been an incredible partner since day one, always believing in the company and its mission,” said Fyllo Chief Executive Officer Chad Bronstein. “She was the first person to join our Board and has been instrumental in Fyllo’s creation, growth, and development.”

California cannabis distributor HERBL named Chemistry Holdings founder Josh Held to the role of chief strategy officer. He previously served as chief executive officer at Made by Science.

“Josh is joining at a pivotal time for both the company and the space, in general,” said HERBL Chief Executive Officer Mike Beaudry. “His depth in corporate development, deal origination, business planning, and strategies makes him a great addition to our executive team.”


Nashville-based hemp company NuSachi appointed Matt Storey to the newly created role of senior vice president of global business development. The company also promoted J. Mitchell from director of product development to president.

Twenty-year Walgreens veteran Jeremy Kunicki joined multi-state cannabis operator Parallel as chief financial officer. Interim CFO James Whitcomb will resume the role of chief development officer.

Effective April 2, Steve Goertz will replace Glen Leibowitz as chief financial officer at Acreage Holdings. Goertz joins the company from Bespoke Capital Acquisition Corp. Prior to that, he served as CFO at sgsco, CFO at goeasy Ltd., and in various finance and accounting roles at Sobeys, Maple Leaf Foods, and Deloitte.

Multi-national operator Clever Leaves appointed Hank Hague as its new Chief Financial Officer, replacing interim CFO Amit Pandey who will transition to executive vice president of finance. Hague previously served as CFO for Abacus Health Products where he managed the due diligence and sale process of Abacus to Charlotte’s Web Holdings.

Directorial and advisory board changes and additions:

MATTIO Communications Chief Executive Officer Rosie Mattio and Matthew Kressy, founding director of MIT’s integrated design and management program, joined the newly formed advisory board at Agrify.

Pete Karabas replaced BDSA Co-founder Roy Bingham as chairman of the board. Bingham will continue to serve as a board director.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy elected Minority Cannabis Business Association President Jason Ortiz to serve as executive director, replacing interim co-executive directors Rachel Wissner and Luis Montoya.
