Last week, Black- and veteran-owned cannabis brand Dazed, along with The Black Santa Company, founded by NBA All-Star Baron Davis to inspire the world through diverse characters and contemporary stories, threw an epic toy drive at Dazed Union Square.
Over 1,000 toys were collected to make a brighter holiday for NYC kids. Media, celebrities, and influencers showed up to drop off toys and dance the night away with Black Santa. Guests sipped on a special Coquito concoction provided by Bumbu Rum and Villon Cognac while DJ Sarcastic kept the party moving.
“At Dazed we’re all about giving back and supporting our local community,” said Keshawn Warner, co-founder at Dazed. “Partnering with The Black Santa Company to bring this magical event to life is an extension of our mission to bring the community together as we uplift and empower.”
On a mission to give back and build community, the Dazed x Black Santa Company Toy Drive aims to make a difference for the local community in need this holiday season with a toy donation to one of The Black Santa Company’s charitable partners the Think Watts Foundation. In addition to the toys, Dazed is making a donation to support the Think Watts Foundation to support their community grassroots activations.
