Austin, Texas – The Taste of Texas Hemp Cup returns for its third year and is ready to determine the best-of-the-best craft hemp cultivators & concentrate makers in history! Taking place on December 10, 2022, at The Far Out Lounge in Austin, Texas, the historical event will crown worthy winners with some “Texas-sized” bragging rights.

This inspiring event provides an opportunity to come together as a community, taking part in festivities such as glass-blowing demonstrations, musical performances, and educational seminars. Of course, at the heart of this celebration are the awards presented where judges select the Top Hemp Flower and Hemp Concentrate in Texas based on a variety of criteria. Event attendees gain insight into how hemp farmers and growers create top-quality products while also recognizing these innovative individuals, who are some of the country’s best. Not only does The Taste of Texas Hemp Cup bring cannabis luminaries from all over the United States to experience all that our great state has to offer but it also serves as a reminder of why Texans have earned our distinction for producing superior hemp plants. After all, everything is bigger in Texas–even the terps.

“The Taste of Texas Hemp Cup is the heart of the Texas Craft Hemp Community,” says Liz Grow, CEO of Grow House Media. “In 2020, we celebrated the first hemp harvest in Texas after 80 years. To recognize the hard work and tenacity of Texas hemp farmers, we created the Taste of Texas Hemp Cup – a celebration to showcase their resilience in spite of adversity. At the event, hemp farmers not only receive valuable feedback and analysis on their crop but also boost their brand exposure and reach a larger audience than marketing alone would provide.”

With 26 entries competing for nine coveted categories, it is one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry. While no doubt all entries are worthy contenders, awards will be given to those who can stand out among their peers as exceptions. Whether by showcasing exquisite craftsmanship in outdoor-grown, indoor-grown, or presentation categories; demonstrating cannabinoid potency with the highest CBD or CBG varieties; or winning over a jury of experts and fans alike with the most pungent or ripe flower on display–entrants strive to exceed expectations and make a lasting impression on the official judging partner, the Texas A&M Hemp Research Program.

“This year we’re excited to announce that Texas Hemp Concentrates are joining the competition!” adds Patrick Pope, Co-founder of Grow House Media. “There will be 5 Texas hemp concentrates makers competing for the title of Best Hemp Concentrate in Texas. All attendees of the Cup will be able to participate in judging, furthering the inclusiveness aspect of this all-important event for the Texas hemp community.”

Over the years, participation in this event has expanded significantly to include not only hemp growers but also processors, retailers, multi-state operators, and scientists–all dedicated to advancing their products and growing their businesses through this alliance. The competition promises not only a chance to show off your latest creations but also an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and gain valuable recognition within your field.
