San Francisco —

PAX, a leading global cannabis brand, today announced a limited-edition custom collaboration with international sneaker artist and colorway designer Stan Birch, of flagship brand FLOU®️ Customs based in the south of France. The collection aims to highlight the intersection of cannabis, design and fashion, drawing from the colors of the brand’s newest line up of PAX Plus flower vaporizer devices. Handmade with custom stitching, lacing and gold stamped foil, the Nike Dunk Low sneaker drop celebrates the contemporary aesthetic of modern cannabis culture.

“Street culture in its globality represents everything for me. From shapes, to fabrics, to technology, the sneaker itself has been evolving non-stop since the creation of vulcanized rubber. Cannabis has always had an inevitable crossover with that culture,” said Stan Birch, Creator of FLOU®️. “For this collaboration, I drew inspiration from the harmonious PAX device colors, which coincidentally were exactly the kind of subdued colors I usually use in my creations. I wanted to add something that truly made it a luxury product given the premium nature of their devices, so we engraved the PAX logo with 22 karat gold leaf, and added a beautiful golden cannabis leaf on the toe-box.”

Since 2012, PAX has been the premier brand at the intersection of style, modernity, and elevated cannabis culture. Previous consumer experiences and limited edition collections have featured collaborations with style setters, zeitgeist creators and vanguards of design and art. Under his flagship brand FLOU Customs, Stan Birch brings a global perspective to the intersection of style, street culture, and art.

“PAX supports artists, because artists have always supported us — from fashion to music to art and beyond, which are all core pillars of our brand,” said Lauryn Livengood, Senior Director of Brand Marketing at PAX. “New York is the epicenter of design, fashion and culture, of which cannabis has always been inextricably linked. PAX is proud to have been elevating cannabis style for New Yorkers since we launched our very first device in 2012, and is excited to mark the first 4/20 since adult use sales began with the expansion of our product offerings in the state and a unique collaboration that celebrates the ethos of modern cannabis culture.”

The drop will debut on the runway at Let There Be Light, a 4/20 fashion show at the newly opened, experiential House of Cannabis in SoHo, hosted by cult-favorite smokewear and cannabis brand Sundae School and of which PAX is the presenting sponsor. The show will be an interactive and crowd-sourced show, featuring the personas and creative stylings of real New York cannabis consumers and showcasing unprecedented designs inspired by the culture. Limited PAX x  FLOU®️ Customs will be available to consumers through an Instagram giveaway on April 20, 2023, while the brand aims to raise awareness for and will be making a donation to New York non-profit, The JUSTÜS Foundation, an organization dedicated to ensuring and facilitating the entry of legacy cannabis operators to the legal cannabis market.

The JUSTÜS Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring and facilitating the entry of legacy (pre-legalization) cannabis operators to the legal cannabis market. The organization was founded in October 2021 in response to the following two related trends: the exclusion of the legacy cannabis operators from the legal industry and the persistence of a dual market following legalization, which results in a delay in consumer migration to the legal cannabis market. COO Scheril Murray Powell Esquire currently leads the foundation and manages all daily operations, including license application support, career development/placement, and post licensing support. The scope of The JUSTÜS Foundation’s work is global and we fight for the legacy community because If legacy operators are not welcomed into the legal market, they will continue their activities outside of it.
