BOSTON  — Growing up, Peter Cardoz was inspired by his immensely talented, world-renowned father to be optimally educated and experienced in quality food products. Although constantly working in and operating high-volume restaurants during his esteemed career, Chef Cardoz always made sure to be available to his son, remaining a guiding voice throughout Peter’s life.

Once he fell in love with cannabis, Peter was able to discern its particular aromas and flavors, just as he had been taught to do with food. He and his father bonded over the incredible possibilities of cannabis within the culinary world. When Peter was diagnosed with IBS, Chef Cardoz even altered all of his recipes to better fit his son’s diet! They dreamed of one day running their own product line and manufacturing facility. Unfortunately, Peter tragically lost his father in 2020 due to Covid, and was never able to work along with him.

These days — as an in-demand gourmet chef, educator, consultant, Brand Ambassador for Gentlemen Smugglers, contestant on the new season of America’s Test Kitchen and proud founder of his own line of CBD-infused culinary products, Cardoz Blended Gourmet  — feeling his dad’s presence with him everywhere, he strives to follow in his famous footsteps while carving a unique path in the cannabis industry.
