The first national television ad to include the term “cannabis” has been produced by Hoban Law Group and is currently airing on major networks including CNN, MSNBC, Vice, and Fox.

Advertising in the cannabis industry can be a bit of a tricky situation, especially since cannabis is still a Schedule I drug banned by the federal government. Facebook and Google do not even allow ads from cannabis companies.

But Hoban Law Group has finally been able to break through. They have produced a television ad that is currently making the rounds on some of the major news networks including CNN, Fox, MSNBC, and Vice.

Hoban is the only national law firm that specializes in the full spectrum of cannabis legal issues including medical, recreational and industrial hemp. Hoban “has attorneys in every state where legalization has occurred,” according to the firm.

“As the first ‘cannabusiness’ law firm, we’ve seen firsthand how the industry has significantly evolved in the last nine years,” said Bob Hoban. “We’re excited to once again make waves in the legal side of the cannabis industry, starting a new trend of legal advertising.”

Hoban was likely able to convince networks to run the ad since the firm offers professional consultation and does not actually handle cannabis flower or products The 30-second spot started airing on August 21 and will run through mid-September.
