Rose Law Group Selects Respected Advocate As Co-Chair Of Its Long Standing Cannabis Department

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Jonathan Udell is the new Co-Chairman the Cannabis Law Department at Rose Law Group pc. That department is the longest-standing cannabis law practice in the state.

Udell has a lengthy resume in terms of public policy. He represented a cannabis business in a challenge of the Arizona Department of Health Service’s interpretation of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, he drafted amicus briefs concerning the Arizona Corporation Commission’s constitutional authority, and has written procedures that allowed businesses and nonprofits to reopen safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Udell has been a tireless advocate for marijuana legalization. He served as Communications Director of Arizona NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) in the run-up to the 2020 election in which Prop. 207, legalizing recreational marijuana, was approved by voters.

He was recently promoted to Political Director of Arizona NORML, where he will focus on lobbying for a bipartisan, universal, and automatic expungement law in the upcoming legislative session.

Udell has also volunteered more than 100 hours at as many as 20 clinics to assist people convicted of low-level marijuana offenses expunge their records.
