The Source Announces Equality Nevada and Minorities for Medical Marijuana as Recipients of June Roundup Initiative

The Source, an award-winning cannabis company with five dispensaries across Nevada, has announced the two philanthropic organizations that will be supported as its roundup partners in June: Equality Nevada and Minorities for Medical Marijuana.

Now through Friday, June 30, customers may roundup purchase totals while shopping in-store at any of The Source’s five dispensary locations.

In honor of Pride month, customers who visit the Las Vegas-based dispensaries at North Las Vegas, Henderson, Sahara and Reno will have roundup donations directed to Equality Nevada, a non-profit charity and advocacy organization dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identify or expression. Customers of the Pahrump location will have roundup donations granted to Minorities for Medical Marijuana. The Source will also accept direct donations from the public as part of this initiative.

Equality

Nevada has served the LGBTQ+ community for more than a decade and provides free services such as social and support groups; HIV and STI testing and treatment; a food pantry; and other services to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community who need assistance. Equality Nevada currently has two centers in Southern Nevada and is in the process of opening a third clinic in Reno. Equality Project’s mission is to provide a safe place for people within the LGBTQ+ community to receive needed care without the fear of harm or judgment.

Minorities for Medical Marijuana is the cannabis industry’s largest non-profit aimed at providing advocacy, outreach, research and training for minorities in the marijuana industry. The organization is committed to cultivating a culturally inclusive environment where diversity of thought, experience and opportunities are valued, respected, appreciated and celebrated. Serving as a resource for their communitiy, Minorities for Medical Marijuana works to provide information, referrals, advocacy, coordination and education related to cannabis legislation, events, activities, initiatives and discussions.
