LAS VEGAS – The Source, an award-winning cannabis company with dispensaries in Nevada and Massachusetts, will debut its second solventless cannabis chocolate as part of its new CAMP edible line.
The new Ruby Red chocolate bar will be available for purchase at The Source’s five Nevada dispensaries, including Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Pahrump and Reno, beginning Friday, Nov. 18.
CAMP’s Ruby Red Connor’s Comfort chocolate bar is a 1:1 THC:CBD artisanal cannabis-infused bar made with premium Belgian chocolate and hand-crafted in small, strain-specific batches using sustainably sourced cocoa. Crafted by classically trained chefs Becky Quan and Ricky McCormick, the Ruby Red chocolate bars are made exclusively with Connor’s Comfort, a strain that contains a balance of THC and CBD and a variety of terpenes including Pinene, Limonene, Linalool and more, creating a relaxed entourage effect. Like white chocolate in terms of texture and creaminess, the Ruby Red chocolate tastes sweet, but unlike white chocolate, has a tart and fruity taste and is mixed with rice poppers, providing an enjoyable crunch with each bite. Priced at $22 and portioned to 10 squares of chocolate, each square is dosed at 10mg for a total of 100mg per bar of chocolate.
Drawn to the idea of creating unique, culinary-inspired edibles using their background working in kitchens of world-class restaurants, CAMP’s chef team Quan and McCormick have more than 20 years of experience and have each led culinary teams in Michelin-rated restaurants in New York and Las Vegas, including NoMad Hotel, Gordon Ramsey Pub, Guy Savoy, Aria Resort & Casino Las Vegas and more, to develop the new rosin-enriched chocolate bars. CAMP launched its chocolate bar line in October with the debut of the Coffee Caramel flavor.
Since its debut in April 2019, CAMP has produced Nevada’s first solventless products. Known for its unique extraction process, CAMP’s solventless collection is extracted using only ice, water, heat and pressure, preserving the quality of the plant.
By eliminating the use of traditional chemical solvents and using natural processes to remove the trichomes from the plant material, CAMP produces a higher quality, healthier and cleaner experience for edible consumers. CAMP’s chocolate bar offerings launched with the Coffee Caramel chocolate bars, which are exclusively made with LA Kush Cake #6 rosin, and three additional flavors will be released by the end of the year. Earlier this year, CAMP launched its first ever line of edible gummies in blackberry, orange and peach flavors, each dosed at 100mg.
CAMP chocolates will be available for purchase in-store at all Nevada locations of The Source or through its online ordering system for in-store pickup, curbside pickup and delivery at www.thesourcenv.com.
