MINNEAPOLIS — Vireo Growth Inc. has entered into a nonbinding memorandum of understanding with The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company to acquire The Hawthorne Gardening Company LLC, a provider of nutrients, lighting, and other materials to indoor and hydroponic cannabis growers.
Details of the proposed transaction were not released, although Scotts Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Hagedorn referred to the transaction as “an equity participation arrangement with Vireo” in prepared remarks.
