CASSELBERRY, Fla. — Ahead of 4/20, a cannabis nonprofit is entering the ring of access, mainstream retail, and cannabis culture. At the center of it is a simple but persistent issue: Even in legal markets, access still comes with an upfront cost that many veterans can’t afford.
Veterans Cannabis Care has partnered with TYSON 2.0 and Higher Innovation on a two-week raffle featuring one of only two Mike Tyson–signed Higher Innovation x Tyson 2.0 Air Purifier Kits, with 100% of proceeds funding medical cannabis cards for veterans. The same product is sold through Walmart.com and BestBuy.com, a signal of how quickly cannabis-adjacent products are moving into mainstream retail.
The air purification sevice was originally developed by Higher Innovation, a Texas-based consumer health tech and U.S. manufacturing company with deep ties to the military community.
The raffle runs from April 7 through April 21, with activity tied directly to 4/20, including a presence at TYSON 2.0’s new Brooklyn, New York, consumption lounge opening. It’s a rare combination of cultural weight, retail scale, and a cause that doesn’t usually get this kind of spotlight.
“I’m truly honored to be part of an organization that supports our Veterans, who have sacrificed so much for our country. I’m committed to doing whatever I can to help make their lives a little easier,” said Mike Tyson.
Only two of these signed units exist, making this part collector’s item, part funding mechanism for an access issue that continues to sit just beneath the surface of the legal market.
“Veterans shouldn’t have to choose between their health and their finances. This raffle allows supporters to participate in something truly special while directly helping veterans gain legal, affordable access to a plant-based medicine that has already changed thousands of lives,” said Robb Harmon, founder of Veterans Cannabis Care.
