LAS VEGAS – As part of its ongoing efforts to give back to local nonprofit organizations, The Source+, an award-winning cannabis company with dispensaries in the Las Vegas Valley and Reno, plus a newly-opened location in Northampton, Mass., will support the Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada (CCC), throughout the month of May for Mental Health Awareness Month.

From Sunday, May 1 through Tuesday, May 31, customers may round up their purchases while shopping at The Source+ to directly support CCC. In addition, The Source+ will accept direct donations for the organization at each of its locations. Founded in 1990, the local nonprofit promotes the healthy functioning of individuals, families and communities through affordable, sensitive and professional behavioral health services in a safe environment.

“Millions of people face the reality of living with mental health issues every year, and we’re happy to do our part to underscore the importance of mental health and kick the stigma surrounding mental illnesses,” said Simon Nankervis, CEO of The Source+. “We’re proud to honor National Mental Health Awareness Month by supporting CCC, which has made a tremendous impact on the lives of many in our community.”

CCC offers all services from a perspective that promotes support, compassion and respect for each participant’s unique sexual and gender perspectives, orientations, identities and expressions. Centrally located in Las Vegas for easy accessibility, CCC also offers all services via telehealth, accepts Medicaid/MCOs and offers grant-funded services to eligible clients, as well as a sliding fee scale for those who do not qualify under other funding.

“We are looking forward to partnering with The Source+ in May to promote Mental Health Awareness Month and highlight the importance of support and quality of care for anyone affected by mental illness, as mental health is an important part of overall health,” said Michelle Velardo, director of operations for CCC.

The Source+ has prioritized giving back to its communities since its inception, supporting local partners by donating over $700,000 to local nonprofits, including Opportunity Village, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, The Nevada Homeless Alliance, Mondays Dark and more.
